Ecosperity: The Environmental Studies Society

Ecosperity embodies the spirit of biosphere stewardship, advocating for sustainable practices and fostering a culture of environment consciousness within our institution and beyond. Through collective action and a steadfast commitment to positive change, we strive to create a world where sustainability and prosperity coexist harmoniously. Amid a backdrop of commerce and business education, Team Ecosperity serves as a pioneering force, leading young learners towards a culture of sustainability through experiential learning. We strive towards imparting environmental education and pro-environment attitude through courses taught with great zeal to learners as a part of the undergraduate curriculum. Besides imparting a theoretical understanding of the cross-cutting environmental issues in the classroom, we ensure the acculturation of practical knowledge through activity-based learning. Team Ecosperity nurtures environment enthusiasts through a range of initiatives aimed at addressing pressing ecological challenges in the Anthropocene. Development of a vertical garden using upcycled plastic bottles, tyre garden, transforming old jeans into eco-friendly bags, sensitization drives, and book-sharing drives on campus are some of our notable initiates.
