Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB) was established by University of Delhi in 1944. The main aim of this board is to provide higher education to girl candidates of Delhi NCT who are deprived from higher education due to any reason. The Board began with 3 students and at present more than 31000 girl candidates are enrolled in this course.
To use infrastructure optimally, the classes are being held either on Saturdays or on Sundays and during academic breaks of University of Delhi in 26 colleges. Sri Guru Gobind Singh College is also one of the centers for conducting NCWEB classes. This center was started in 2012 and consecutively ranked on the top for six years. The courses offered at this center are B.COM Prog, BA Prog (History and Political Science), BA Prog (Economics and Political Science) and BA Prog (Economics and Math’s). More than 1400 girl students are enrolled in this center. Classes are held here from 8.30 am till 5.30 pm. Since there is classroom teaching, so no written material is provided to the students. They can take assistance from their teachers regarding their studies.
The students are expected to attend classes regularly as minimum attendance mandatory for End Term examination is at least 66%. Examinations for NCWEB students are conducted along with the regular students. For all the important information related to the classes and the exams, students are advised to check college website only.
